Bullish Sentiment Increases Slightly

With the Federal Government in the midst of a shutdown, equities have taken it on the chin so far this week.  In spite of the uncertainty regarding the budget and the debt ceiling, though, individual investors haven't turned noticeably more bearish this week.  In fact, according to the American Association of Individual Investors, bullish sentiment actually increased from 36.05% up to 37.84%.  Granted, this is still below the long-term average reading in this indicator, but it does seem to imply that investors are not too worried about issues in Washington and how they will impact the equity market.
