The charts below show the historical intraday performance of the S&P 500 on Presidential Election Days since 1984.  As shown below, these have typically been good days for equities.  On the seven Presidential Election Days since 1984, the S&P 500 has averaged a gain of 0.85% with positive returns five out of seven days.  If you haven't done so yet, get out and vote!
